Time series 1993-2009

The sickness absence time series 1993-2009 is based on several sources.

• The figures for 2008 and 2009 are from the Quarterly survey on sickness absence
• The figures for 2006 and 2007 are from the Annual survey of sickness absence, with the exception of data for 2006 on the sectors education and agriculture and fishery
•  The figures for 2004 and 2005 are based on the National sickness absence statistics The figures for the sectors agriculture and fishery, financial institutions, care and education are based on other sourcesThe figures for 2004 refer to sickness absence for the period of one year at the most. From 2005 onwards they include absence exceeding one year
•  The figures for 1993 to 2003 are from the sickness absence statistics for the private sector. These exclude the sectors public administration and education. The figures refer to sickness absence for the period of one year at the most.
