Wooded areas

An area with a high tree density covering at least 1 ha intended for wood production and/or nature preservation.

Woodland includes:

• area where more or less equally tall trees grow;
• area where most or all trees are cut down;
• fire lane;
• wood path;
• tree nursery;
• wood storage facility;
• scattered buildings, if in the wood;
• poplar nursery.

Not included in woodland are:

• wooded areas in parks;
• tree nurseries outside woods;
• residential areas (with street patterns) and recreational areas situated in woods.
