Supplementary pension

A supplementary pension is attributed to the person receiving the benefit. Pension rights may also be built up by former partners, e.g. widows.

In the Netherlands, the pension system comprises three components, i.e. the collective pension based upon the Old Age Pensions Act, a collective labour-related component and an individual component.
