Sector in mbo

Initially, there were four sectors in general secondary vocational education (mbo): agriculture, engineering, economics and ‘care’. Since school year 2005/’06, it is also possible to opt for a combination of these sectors.

A sector comprises various disciplines aimed at various categories of occupations. It mainly concerns occupations in the sectors agriculture, engineering, economics and administration and health care and welfare.
