Software consultancy suffers from economic crisis

In the second quarter of 2009, prices charged in the software consultancy sector were 1.2 percent down on one year previously. Prices dropped for the first time since 2006. In 2006 and 2007, prices rose substantially each quarter relative to one year previously. The economic recession and investment cuts in the private sector are likely to have played a part in this respect.

The effect of falling prices also becomes evident in turnover developments in the software consultancy sector. In the second quarter of van 2009, turnover was 1.4 percent below the level of last year’s second quarter.
