Price of a diploma
The costs of training someone to pass a certain diploma in government-funded education, excluding costs of research and development (R&D). These include spending by the government and the private sector on educational institutions for educational services, supplementary non-educational services (transport, student provisions, etc) provided by the educational institutions and so-called apparatus costs: the price of a diploma takes into account school and tuition fees, but also mainly salary costs of teaching staff and supervision costs at companies where students do traineeships and apprenticeships.
The results do not present a historical overview of costs but show per year what the complete educational route to a certain diploma costs. This is calculated on the basis of educational funding and the education system in the year concerned.
