The 2008, absolute turnover of courier companies and local mail service providers is calculated by extrapolation of the most recent turnover level from the production statistics (PS) of 2007 with turnover developments from short-term statistics (KS) on transport up to and including 2008.

The 2007, turnover level was approximately 2.27 billion euro. The growth rate in 2008 was 8.5 percent. Extrapolation results in a turnover level for 2008 of approximately 2.5 billion euro.
