In order to prevent a growing number of young people with disabilities from being excluded from the job market, the Wajong Act is being adapted. Only fully incapacitated young people will receive full benefits as of their first application. Young people who can work to some extent will fall under the Wajong Work Provision Act (Werkregeling Wajong). This Act provides support in finding and retaining a job with a regular employer. It may also provide supplementary income or help finance studies. The Act is expected to become effective on 1 January 2010. Back to article
