Women firefighters

Female fire services operatives trained for fire suppression tasks. They are often deployed in fire and other emergency assistance operations. They include female management staff. In addition to suppression tasks, these workers may also have other responsibilities.

Only operational women are included in female firefighters. Women working for the fire services who do not have operational or suppression tasks are not included as female fire-fighters for this article; these include women working in the area of prevention and administration.
