The absolute turnover of the transport sector over 2008 has been calculated by extrapolation of the most recent turnover level from the production statistics of 2007 with turnover results from the short-term statistics up to and including 2008.
The level of turnover in 2007 amounted to approximately 65 billion euro. The growth rate in 2008 was 2.7 percent. If the same growth rate is applied to the level of 2007, turnover in 2008 will approximate 67 billion euro.
