Level

In 1997/’98, the Act on Education and Vocational Education (WEB) was introduced. The WEB distinguishes between five types of education at four levels:
• level 1: assistant training (duration period: 0.5 to 1 year)
• level 2: basic vocational training (duration period: 2 to 3 years)
• level 3: vocational training (duration period: 2 to 4 years)
• level 4a: middle management training (duration: 3 to 4 years)
• level 4b: specialist training (duration period: 1 to 2 years)
