Gross labour participation
The total labour force (employed and unemployed) as a percentage of the potential labour force. The potential labour force covers the entire population in the age category 15 to 65, save people living in homes and institutions.
The labour force includes:
- persons working at least twelve hours a week, or
- persons who have accepted a job of at least twelve hours a week, or
- persons prepared to work at least twelve hours a week, who are available for the labour market and actively seeking a job of at least twelve hours a week.
Municipal data are the average results over a period of three years. This article refers to data over the period 2005-2007.
