Concentration index

The ratio of the percentage of Americans in a municipality and the percentage of Americans in the overall population.

For example: approximately 0.2 percent of the overall population of the Netherlands are American. In Amsterdam, 0.8 percent of the inhabitants are American. The concentration index for Amsterdam is therefore: 0.8/0.2*100 = 400.
