120 thousand households live on social minimum level for at least four years

In 2007, nearly 120 thousand households (just under 2 percent of the total number of households in the Netherlands) had lived on the minimum social income level for a period of at least four years. In the period 2005-2007, the number remained stable, but was below the level of 2003 and 2004.

The 120 thousand households forced to live on or under the social minimum income level consisted of more than 200 thousand persons.
