POLS 2006

Data on contacts with GP, medical specialist and physiotherapist are based on the Integrated System of Social Surveys (POLS). The annual sample survey covers approximately 2,500 older people. The 2004, 2005 and 2006 POLS surveys have been combined to achieve more reliable results. The figures referred to in this publication have been adjusted for age and gender.

The incomes of the POLS respondents have also been taken into account. For the years 2004 and 2005, the disposable household incomes of 2004 and 2005 as well as the disposable household incomes of the three preceding years were linked to all POLS respondents. For 2006, the disposable household incomes of 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 were linked to all POLS respondents. Residents of homes and institutions have not been taken into account. As the figures are based upon a sample survey, they are subject to a margin of error.
