Income in the Consumer Confidence Survey (CCO)

CCO participants are invited to specify their net monthly household income. The answer is used as an indicator for their income position. The net monthly household income is adjusted for number of household members and composition of the household. This standardisation facilitates comparison between the various types of households. The standardised household income is subsequently subdivided into lower incomes, middle incomes and higher incomes.
