Mobile Internet connection

Every April and May, Statistics Netherlands conducts its annual survey of ICT use by households and individuals. More than 4 thousand respondents aged between 12 and 75 years participate in this survey. 

Among other things, the ICT survey asks about use of mobile equipment to access the Internet in the three months preceding the survey.

The question was:
Do you ever use any of the following equipment to access the Internet:
(more than one answer possible)

  • a mobile phone with UMTS;
  • a mobile phone with other connection;
  • a palmtop;
  • or a laptop with wireless Internet connection other than at home or at work?
