More trade with Vietnam
In the first nine months of 2007, the Netherlands imported goods from Vietnam with a total value of 468 million euro. This is almost equal to the value of imports from Vietnam over the entire year 2006. With 238 million euro, exports over the first three quarters of 2007 even exceeded the value of exports to Vietnam over the entire year 2006.
Trade with Vietnam
The Netherlands mainly imports shoes, fish, fruit, textile fabrics and clothing, accounting for half of the total value of imports from Vietnam. Exported products are car components, food and machinery.
The share of Vietnam in total Dutch goods trade is nevertheless quite modest. Only 0.2 percent of total imports and 0.1 percent of total exports relate to Vietnam.
