Absolute turnover in the construction sector over 2007 is calculated by extrapolating the most recent level of turnover from the production statistics of the construction sector 2005 with turnover growth data from the short-term statistics of the construction sector up to and including 2007.

The level of turnover in 2005 was 68,713 million euro. The growth factors for 2006 and 2007 were 8.6 and 9.8 percent respectively. When these growth factors are applied to the level of 2005, turnover in 2007 is estimated at nearly 82 billion euro.
