Delivery charges

These are paid to the supplier for the amount of gas/electricity supplied. The charges consist of:

1. Fixed delivery charges: a fixed amount charged per month, quarter or year. Energy suppliers are free to set the amount of the charges.

2. Variable delivery charges: these depend on the amount of m3 or kWh used per year.

3. A surcharge for gas. From 1 January 2005 this surcharge is added to the price per m3 for the transport of gas via the national transport network of the Gasunie. The further the distance from Groningen, the higher the surcharge.
