More Dutch guests staying in hotels

Dutch guest spent over 8.2 million nights in Dutch hotels in the first half of 2007. This is almost 1.2 million nights more than in the same period of 2006.
The total number of nights spent in hotels increased by 10 percent, reaching almost 16.2 million. The number of nights spent in hotels by Dutch people increased far more than the number of nights spent in hotels by foreigners. It is the first time in years that the number of nights spent in hotels by Dutch guests exceeded that of foreign guests.
