Military assistance abroad
Military assistance abroad refers to Dutch involvement in crisis control operations and missions under the UN, NATO and EU. The involvement is part of the required contributions to these organisations. Furthermore the Dutch military make major contributions to these operations by deploying personnel and equipment.
The additional expenditure for the deployment are also included in the policy area of military assistance abroad. Additional expenditure includes: payments to personnel, travel and accommodation by personnel, materials used, preparing and maintaining equipment and some of the extra investments.
