Altogether 255 bankruptcies in June
In June, 255 businesses and institutions (excluding one-man businesses) went bankrupt, a 26 percent reduction on one year previously.
As the number of businesses declared bankrupt in a particular month is closely related to the number of days courts are in session, it may vary strongly from month to month. Therefore, the three-monthly moving average is a more reliable indicator.
The three-monthly moving average stood at 291 bankruptcies in June, as against 297 in May this year. With a few exceptions, the trend in the number of bankruptcies has been distinctly downward for more than eighteen months now.
