First quarter of 2007

Today for the first time, Statistics Netherlands releases quarterly figures on the labour force broken down by education level land ethnic background which are based on the Labour Force Survey (EBB). Incorporation of the results of the EBB –conducted since 1987 – allows Statistics Netherlands to publish figures on important aspects of the Dutch labour force every quarter. In the future, tables including quarterly figures will be updated every quarter.

As from January 2008, when the annual figures over 2007 will become available, more results of the EBB will be incorporated in the StatLine tables. There may be discrepancies between the current annual figures broken down by education level and ethnic origin as presented in the database StatLine and the annual figures which, from now on, will be calculated by taking the average of four quarters.
