Medical care
The survey participants were asked, whether they had consulted their GP at least once a year and whether they had consulted a medical specialist and/or physiotherapist. If the answer was affirmative, they were asked about the frequency of these contacts.
The data are based on the health module, which is part of the Integrated System of Social Surveys (POLS). The annual sample population of older persons covers approximately 2,500 people. Residents of homes and institutions (the so-called institutional population) are excluded from the survey. As the figures are based on a sample, they are subject to a margin of error.
