Pursuant to the Lawyers Act, Dutch lawyers are registered with the Netherlands Bar Association, a statutory organisation comprising all Dutch lawyers. The kernel function of the Association is to preserve the quality of legal services. Figures on the number of lawyers in the Netherlands refer to the situation at the end of the year.
