In first quarter 212 thousand job vacancies
After correction for seasonal effects, there were 212 thousand job vacancies at the end of March, a reduction by 10 thousand relative to the previous quarter.
The labour market remains very active. Just as in preceding quarters, there was an increase in both new and filled vacancies compared to the same period last year.
In the first quarter, 20 thousand extra jobs became available compared to the first quarter of 2006 and 33 thousand more job vacancies were filled. Altogether, 257 thousand vacancies were filled in the first quarter of 2007.
