Income support benefits
The number of income support benefits on 31 March 2005 (provisional figures). These are benefits paid to private addresses, not persons in homes and institutions. The income support benefits are given per 1,000 households on 1 January 2005.
Persons who have an incomplete state old-age pension build-up are eligible for income support if their household were to have an income below the threshold for income support at age the pension comes into effect. This is relatively often the case for people with a foreign background.
Numbers of income supports benefits are taken from municipal administrations.
