Nearly 20 million eggs exported each day

The Netherlands exported 7.2 billion eggs for human consumption last year, a marginal decline relative to 2005 when 7.4 billion eggs were exported. The vast majority (93 percent) were exported to EU countries with Germany as the most important buyer. Our eastern neighbours import over 14 million Dutch eggs each day.
