Increase in non-residential building permits 2006

The value of non-residential construction for which building permits were issued in 2006 was 26 percent higher than in 2005, at 6.1 billion euro. The value of permits for new offices rose by 42 percent to just over 1 billion euro. The decrease in office construction thus seems to have come to an end. After 2000 the value of office construction fell from 1.7 billion euro to 0.7 billion euro in 2005.
