Winter sports holiday

A holiday is defined as a period spent away from home for recreation or pleasure. It also included stays with families and friends abroad.
Statistics Netherlands distinguishes short breaks and holidays. A short break is a stay away from home for three nights at the most; for a holiday this is four or more nights spent away from home. The results described in this article refer to holidays, and thus exclude short breaks.
