Volume of goods exports 7 percent higher in November
In November 2005 the volume of goods exported from the Netherlands was 7 percent higher than in November 2004. The growth of export volume, adjusted for the working day patterns, was slightly higher than in the five preceding months. The growth rate in November was about the same as in the first six months of 2005. Exports of goods were on average 7.4 percent up in that period.
The volume of imports of goods was more than 7 percent higher than twelve months previously. The growth rate of import volume, adjusted for working day patterns, was slightly higher than in the three preceding months. Also compared to the first six months of 2005 the growth rate was higher. Imports of goods were on average 5.3 percent up in that period.
Exports of goods, in terms of values, was 11 percent up in November. The value of imports of goods was 12 percent higher than twelve months previously. Import and Export prices were 4 percent higher than a year ago.
The value of exports to EU countries was up by 6 percent on November 2004. Exports to countries outside the European Union rose by 17 percent. Dutch imports of goods from EU countries were 6 percent higher in November 2005. The value of Dutch imports from countries outside the European Union was up by 19 percent.
