Announcement: Tomorrow's press release on economic growth is postponed

There was a press release on first quarter economic growth in 2005, the second estimate, scheduled on Thursday 30 June 2005. This press release has been postponed.

In the second estimate, Statistics Netherlands publishes new figures on the Gross Domestic Product that are in line with the revised figures of the National Accounts for the year 2001. The latter were published on 20 April 2005.

The annual and quarterly figures for 2002, 2003 and 2004 and the situation after the revision are to be published as well. However, producing the quarterly figures is taking a little more time than expected. This has led to the postponement of the press release. 

The new release date scheduled is Wednesday 6 July 2005.
