Table explanation

Renewable energy is energy from wind, hydro power, the sun, the earth, biomass and heat from outdoor air and just milked milk. This table contains on the capacity, domestic production and use of renewable energy; domestic production, use and capacity. Data are broken down into renewable energy source and technique.

Data available from 1990 to 2013, annually

Status of the figures:
This table contains definite figures until 2012.

Changes as of 12 June 2014:
None, this table has been stopped.

When will new figures be published?
No longer applicable.

Description topics

Net production of energy
Net production of renewable energy. This is the gross production of renewable energy minus the own use.
Biogas for useful final use
Biogas that is not put into an electricity producing machine, but used otherwise. Flared gas is excluded. The gas can be used directly for energetic purposes or it can be processed to natural gas quality and fed into the grid.
Energetic use of biomass
Excluding flared biogas.
