Table explanation
Renewable energy is energy from wind, hydro power, the sun, the earth, biomass and heat from outdoor air and just milked milk. This table contains on the capacity, domestic production and use of renewable energy; domestic production, use and capacity. Data are broken down into renewable energy source and technique.
Data available from 1990 to 2013, annually
Status of the figures:
This table contains definite figures until 2012.
Changes as of 12 June 2014:
None, this table has been stopped.
When will new figures be published?
No longer applicable.
Description topics
- Net production of energy
- Net production of renewable energy. This is the gross production of renewable energy minus the own use.
- Electrical in kWh
- Net production of electricity (the use of electricity by the installation excluded).
- Electrical in % tot. electricity cons.
- Net production of electricity as percentage of the total domestic electricity consumption (including transport losses, excluding use of electricity by installations that produce electricity).
- Thermal
- For Geothermal energy, Aerothermal heat and Heat from just milked milk net production of thermal energy is total heat production. This consists of heat that comes from below the solid surface of the earth,
heat from the outdoor air or heat collected from cooling milk at dairy farms plus the heat generated from the electricity-use of heat pumps.
For installations for Biomass combustion and Biomass fermentation net production of thermal energy is the production of useful heat minus heat for own use (for example to keep the fermentation-proces going).
TJ = TeraJoule, Tera = 10 to the 12th power.
- Biogas for useful final use
- Biogas that is not put into an electricity producing machine, but used otherwise. Flared gas is excluded. The gas can be used directly for energetic purposes or it can be processed to natural gas quality and fed into the grid.
