The indicator for the country concerned is based on the rent (including service costs and property tax) of high quality office space (class A). For example, the West End in London was selected for the United Kingdom, Amsterdam was selected for the Netherlands.

Comparable definitions are used to compare the figures presented internationally. The definitions sometimes differ from definitions used by Statistics Netherlands. The figures in this table could differ from
Dutch figures presented elsewhere on the website of Statistics Netherlands.

Office rents and occupancy costs
The cost of hiring office space, including service costs and property tax, of high quality office space (class A). Assumed is the higher the price the more important the office location. For example the West End in London is selected for United Kingdom, Amsterdam was selected for the Netherlands. The expenditure is expressed in US dollars per square metre, per year.
