People who participated in the POLS survey between 6 and 31 May 1998 were
asked to reveal the political party of their choice in the Dutch Lower
House elections.

General Union for Elderly People, Union 55+, etc.

years and older.

Four types of social values can be distinguished:
Priority to family values, i.e. being married, live for one's family, the
future of the children and a happy family life.
Priority to economic values: have a career, be prosperous, social security
Critical of society: Trying to reduce the current differences in income,
promoting social equality and a society in which everybody's vote counts.
Hedonism: priority: enjoy life and have fun.
