Data Fryslân

On Tuesday 12 February 2019, eight Frisian organisations, including the provincal government, three municipalities, three knowledge institutes and Statistics Netherlands (CBS), signed a cooperation agreement to launch DataFryslân. This allows organisations to make smart use of each other's data and knowledge.

Within the DataFryslân framework, Fryslân authorities collaborate and learn to answer relevant questionson such topics such as quality of life, tourism, economy and social issues with the help of data. A Hub is created which enables DataFryslân partners to set up links and access to data. There will be a Lab in which employees and students will experiment and learn under various forms of collaboration and produce surprising results. In addition, there will be a Podium in which experiences are shared with each other and with the rest of Fryslân.
