CBS Urban Data Centre/Schagen

The 11th CBS Urban Data Centre was opened in Schagen on 23 October 2018. This partnership between Schagen municipality and CBS is known under the name Research Data Centre (RDC). It is the first centre of this kind in the province of Noord-Holland. The centre is a place where local policy issues are tackled with the help of figures from (new) data sources.
An interesting fact about this RDC is that, in the run-up to its establishment, all kinds of research already took place to demonstrate the added value of a data centre to the municipality. Examples of this research include local youth policies and the utilisation rate of two different schemes for poverty reduction in Schagen. Furthermore, a research report has been published on vocational rehabilitation in the municipalities of Schagen and Den Helder.

On 23 September 2019, the municipality of Schagen and Statistics Netherlands extended the cooperation.
