Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations. In September 2015, government leaders of 193 countries, including the Netherlands, committed themselves to the 2030 Agenda. The United Nations has set up a framework with indicators to monitor progress. Worldwide monitoring, using the same indicators and underlying methodology, makes it possible to look across national borders and assess the progress of groups of countries, including Europe. With this dashboard, Statistics Netherlands contributes to worldwide monitoring, filling the global framework of the United Nations with data about the Netherlands where possible.
