Dissertation on processing sample survey data when non-response occurs in the collection stage.

The aim of the study is the analysis of existing and development of new adjustment techniques that reduce possible bias due to non-response. Three questions are formulated: 1) Is it possible to detect whether or not non-response is selective, and if so, can this selectiveness be quantified?, (2) What is the impact of non-response on estimators of population characteristics?, and (3) Is it possible to make adjustments on such as way that the bias of estimators is reduced?.
