Optimal resource allocation in Adaptive Survey Designs

In a mixed-mode survey setting there is both a large differential in response rates and in costs pre respondent. Theses differentials are strong motivations to go adaptive and to tailor strategies. However, modes are also subject to method-specific measurement error. Methods to optimize under constraints on measurement comparability are an open research area.
This dissertation explores various options to develop and apply such methods.
