Using multilevel time-series models for estimation of mobility trends
The Dutch Travel Survey is an annual sample survey used to compile statistics about mobility of residents of the Netherlands. This survey has undergone several redesigns. In earlier reports, a multilevel time-series model has been developed to estimate mobility trends at a detailed level by person and journey characteristics, accounting for discontinuities due to redesigns. For this report, data over 2022 has been included, and the model has been extended with effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on mobility in 2022, besides those in 2020 and 2021.
