This is the (English) final report of a study partially funded by Eurostat on improvements in the compilation of gross national income (GNI).
The said study, conducted on the basis of microdata, has provided new data and insights on the role of various enterprise types, including multinationals, in the National Accounts. The sector data on 'non-financial corporations' are divided into four subsectors in the report: on the one hand, enterprises are split into Dutch-owned and foreign-owned enterprises; the Dutch-owned enterprises are in turn subdivided into multinationals, large enterprises and SMEs.
The figures mentioned in this report are preliminary research results. Updated figures on the profits of non-financial corporations and GNI have been published as of 23 September 2022.
