Prices today and in the past

As a result of inflation, the value of money decreases in the course of time. This simple calculator shows you the consequences of this process. Select a year in the past, and fill in an amount, either in guilders (used in the Netherlands until 2002) or in euros. The calculator shows you how much the selected amount in the past is worth in today’s money.

By clicking on the double headed arrow, you can carry out the reverse calculation: the calculator shows you what an amount in today’s euros was worth in a selected year in the past.
