Internationalisation Monitor 2009
The importance of international trade and direct investment flows, and the growing activities of multinational enterprises in the Dutch economy illustrate the significance of economic globalisation for the Netherlands. This ongoing process of globalisation has instigated animated debates among academics, policymakers and the public-at-large. Questions are asked not only with respect to the trends in globalisation, but especially regarding its effects for the Netherlands in terms of economic growth, employment and sustainability. To help answering these questions, the Internationalisation Monitor 2009 presents in six in-depth articles (part A) and more than 45 clearly annotated tables (part B) trends and impacts of globalisation. A summary in Dutch is included.
