Court summons

A court summons is an official document which instructs somebody to appear in court at a certain time for a criminal trial. The issuing of a summons does not mean that a person is guilty of a crime.

A criminal trial always involves one defendant, but multiple victims may be involved. It is therefore possible for a case to involve multiple instances of murder and/or manslaughter.
