Well-being refers to the quality of life ‘here and now’ and the extent to which this is achieved at the expense of the well-being of future generations or of people elsewhere in the world. This news release compares the Netherlands with other EU member states on well-being here and now. This concerns people who currently live in the Netherlands. The themes include material prosperity, work and leisure, social cohesion, subjective well-being, the environment, health, housing and safety.
