House prices fell in November
Relative to October, the price index of owner-occupied dwellings fell by 1.0 percent in November. House prices reached a low in June 2013; they followed an upward trend until August 2022. Since then, the price index has declined for four months in a row. In November, house prices were on average almost 95 percent higher than during the low in June 2013. The average transaction price was 423,124 euros in November.

Fewer transactions in November
According to The Netherlands’ Cadastre, the total number of transactions recorded over the month of November 2022 stands at 15,146. This is almost 6 percent lower than one year previously. In the first eleven months of this year, altogether 171,767 dwellings changed owners. This is over 16 percent less than in the same period in 2021.

These figures do not show the price development of existing owner-occupied dwellings. For that purpose, you can use the price index of existing owner-occupied dwellings.
