CBS Urban Data Centre / Eindhoven

CBS and the municipality of Eindhoven join their forces in the CBS Urban Data Centre/Eindhoven. In this partnership, CBS’ knowledge on, among others, data infrastructure, data processing and privacy is combined with Eindhoven’s ambition to develop into a data-driven smart society. CBS Urban Data Centre/Eindhoven launched on 22 September 2016.

Among other things, CBS Urban Data Centre/Eindhoven is working on compiling the neighbourhood-oriented information, on enriching the data about businesses in order to, for example, make vacancy more comprehensibile and on mapping the visitor flows. One of the focal points is gaining insight into effects of national development on a regional level. To facilitate this regional interpretation, CBS provides its expertise to the use of new (big data) sources and the integration of CBS data with data from Eindhoven municipality.
